# n223 — The two-ledger family on the glass: everything the crystals broke, the glass repairs

**Date:** 2026-07-11 · **Closes the n216–n223 arc.** Glass at η = 0.75, three seeds, gravity channels (+/× averaged) and the kernel-projected EM channel, all with the exact FS cost symbol.

## The result

On the amorphous substrate, at pure induction (λ = 0): **both channels propagate** — c²_g ≈ 2.01, c²_EM ≈ 1.78 (seed spread ±0.04). No tachyon anywhere. The crystal's EM instability (−0.457) was, like the missing polarization, a disease of perfection. And the cost curvatures, opposed on the crystal (the source of the disjoint windows), are **both negative on the glass** — the two ledgers now lower their cones together instead of fighting:

| λ_g | common c² | required λ_e | healthy? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | 1.74 | ≈ 0.2 | seed-dependent edge |
| 2.0 | 1.47 | ≈ 1.2 | **YES, all seeds** |
| 4.0 | 0.94 | ≈ 3.3 | **YES, all seeds** |

A continuous one-parameter equal-cone family exists for λ_g ≳ 1–2, with both λ non-negative, both channels stable, and the +/× polarization equality holding as a *free statistical check* (n222: 1.007 ± 0.021) instead of a spent condition. The scoreboard of diseases, crystal vs glass: EM tachyon — cured; disjoint stability windows — cured; Zener split — dissolved statistically; missing polarization — cured; photon kernel — topological, untouched throughout.

## What adjudicates the family

The surviving free parameter is exactly what the survival review's Gate D leg 2 wants: **the Coulomb and Newton normalizations must pick the family member, and then the common cone, the birefringence amplitude, and the dispersion corrections are no-dial predictions.** The n220 lesson is not forgotten: the crystal's pinned point also "existed" until the frozen global scan killed it — so the P3″ gate (to be frozen for the reviewer) requires, at scale, on true amorphous graphs, many seeds: (1) the masslessness pinnings per sector with the u″-functions scanned globally (the n220-style κ(q) ≥ 0 test — the exact test that executed the crystal); (2) the family disclosed in full (Gate C); (3) the EM and gravity speeds with proper small-q extrapolation; (4) the birefringence self-averaging law measured (the LIGO-facing shape); (5) Gate D leg 2. Only a full pass sends P3″ back to the reviewer as a proposal.

## The arc, honestly summarized

Two theories died by their own gates and stay dead. What survived the deaths: the trunk (derivation-grade), the topological photon kernel, and a mechanism the theory had owned all along without knowing it — *the vacuum's imperfection*. Every fatal disease of this program traced to assuming perfection: one price list, one crystal, one symmetry. The KZ origin story mandates the disorder that cures all of it. Whether the glass vacuum survives its own frozen gate is the next campaign's question — tonight it is the only candidate left standing, and it is standing.

**Class: [B — multi-seed numerics at declared scope: 216 sites, jittered crystal, q = 2π/3]; the family's existence [robust across seeds]; the cure scoreboard [A-model comparisons]; the P3″ gate [spec registered, not yet frozen].**
