## Core reframe
Control variable: the local detuning. Ω_eff(Δ) = −g²Δ/(Δ²+κ²/4); vacuum at Δ₀<0.
Δ<0 attraction · Δ=0 null · Δ>0 repulsion. First target: the NULL capsule, approached
via the dimming trajectory 90%→50%→10%→null. The dimming precursor is falsifiable:
reversal without continuous dimming kills the mechanism.

## Components
Phased monitor-control shell; detuning actuator H_ctrl = ∫s(x,t)X̂_monitor; witness
interferometers (inside/outside knee comparison); differential force sensors; boundary
feedback; full energy/momentum recovery (no reactionless propulsion).

## The button problem (the missing organ)
Candidate couplings (λ_s s(t)X_aux; λ_n n_inv X_aux; λ_φ cos φ_drive X_aux) all
presuppose a physical field coupling ordinary apparatus to the vacuum auxiliary mode.
The theory contains none. A1 of n108, unchanged.

## Energy
Brute-force refresh: P ~ γ|ΔU| → 0.92 L☉/kg full decoupling (consistent with n108);
refresh-length table down to conditional 2.9 GW/kg at the (assumed) Bohr-radius cell.
**The better strategy: resonant detuning** — phase-locked drive s(t)=s₀cos(γt+φ)
dressing the monitor toward stationary Δ_eff=0 (Floquet/EIT class): pay for losses,
not for rebuilding the interaction every 1/γ. Hard test imported: dressed-state
stability and payload noise.

## Two versions
A (buildable now): two ions + lossy tunable mediator, sweep Δ through 0,
J_eff ∝ −g₁g₂Δ/(Δ²+κ²/4) — prediction 22's analog sign-flip with explicit protocol.
B (true capsule): requires identifying the physical monitor, its conjugate controllable
observable, a localizable coupling, a stable active/passive boundary, gravitational
(not EM) force change, and closed ledgers.

## Five correlated signatures
(1) continuous dimming of g_in/g_out through zero only; (2) audit-knee co-dimming —
gravity change without decoherence-channel change contradicts the theory; (3) clock
co-response; (4) boundary reaction momentum; (5) reservoir fluctuation change.
n183 addendum on (5): matter-coupled spectra are branch-independent at Gaussian level —
the change must appear in the monitor OUTPUT channel, not payload heating.

The theory supplies the control variable (Δ_local) and the strategy (dress toward
Δ_eff = 0); it does not supply the actuator. The realistic present invention is the
analog reservoir-engineering experiment; the capsule is a blueprint for a missing
