## The guard (one line, verified)
A watched coordinate coupled at g to the monitored aux acquires the
static self-energy Sigma_guard = -g^2 Delta/(Delta^2 + kappa^2/4):
POSITIVE on the active branch, at every (kappa, g) tested. It is the
SAME expression that, between two coordinates, is the attraction.
