## The derivation (three pieces)
1. TIME COMPONENT, DERIVED: the billing rate is omega = E/hbar; in a
   staggered potential the charge's maintenance cost shifts by
   q*lambda (the audited statics' own energy), so the billing phase
   accumulates exp[i q lambda t / hbar]. THE SCALAR VERTEX IS
   EXACTLY q - integer by Alice (n158), with no freedom. Minimal
   coupling's time component IS the billing of electrostatic energy.
2. VECTOR COMPONENT, BY COVARIANCE: the matter sector is emergent-
   Lorentz (n118, measured); q lambda dt covariantizes to
   q(lambda dt - A.dx). The vector potential is the boost of the
   scalar one. The Lorentz force follows.
3. GAUGE INVARIANCE: only billing DIFFERENCES are physical -
   constant shifts of lambda are unbillable. U(1) gauge structure
   from bookkeeping.
Class [A-structural] throughout. EM now has its force law.

## The arithmetic verdict (no knob left, recorded at full volume)
With the vertex pinned at q and the Coulomb kernel measured
(V = q1q2/(4 pi S_inf r)):
   alpha^-1 = 4 pi S_inf = 6206 +- 4
against the UV target ~95-125 (n160): THE COUPLING COMES OUT ~50x
TOO WEAK. The old convention bracket {494-6205} is resolved by the
derivation - to its WORST end. The framework's first parameter-free
alpha is wrong by a factor fifty, and the record says so in bold.

## The owner-candidate (measurable, named - not invoked)
S_inf is the LONGITUDINAL (Coulomb) stiffness of the staggered
sector. The photon's kinetic normalization is the TRANSVERSE
stiffness S_T. Equal in the continuum by Lorentz; on the lattice
they can differ - the same longitudinal/transverse split gravity
taught (trace vs shear, n152). The physical coupling is set by the
full sector normalization (1/(4 pi sqrt(S_L S_T))-class). NEXT
MEASUREMENT: S_T of the staggered sector, with the n46b machinery
at the transverse polarization. If S_T ~ S_inf/2500, alpha lands;
if S_T ~ S_inf, the miss stands at fifty and the sector owes a
different owner. Either way: one more number, no knobs.
