## The mechanism (one paragraph)
The audited channel is long-ranged EXACTLY (W ~ S q^2 near the
protected point: Newton's 1/r, guaranteed by the conservation law —
n88's zero-mode theorem). The metric mode couples to matter-noise
PAIRS through that channel (V = 1/2 c W+(dk) c: the metric modulates
gravity itself). Second-order dressing of the metric mode by the
audit's own shot noise therefore inherits the channel's infrared
enhancement: in the continuum, the dressing integral
   I(q) = int d^3k / (k^2 (k+q)^2) = C/q   (exact scaling, k = qx)
DIVERGES as q -> 0. A negative, IR-divergent self-energy overwhelms

Below q*, the bare gap is irrelevant; marginal stabilization pins the

## Tonight's checks and their honesty
- Lattice spot check (m = 40, pole cells excluded): I(q) ~ q^-0.46
  at accessible q, trending toward the continuum -1 slowly — the
  excluded pole cells carry real IR weight; flagged.
- Artifact caught live and kept: UNregularized, the sum is dominated
  by the audited channel's EXACT zero modes (1/(q^2 mu^2)) — the
  enhancement is bounded between 1/q (regularized) and zero-mode
  domination; the true exponent needs the NESS calculation with the
  audit's gamma as the physical regulator.

## What the door owes before it is a result (the debts, all named)
1. The sign and magnitude of the noise dressing computed in the
   actual NESS (not power counting): does it come out negative with
   q* above the observable infrared?
2. Marginal stabilization derived, not assumed: the nonlinearity
   that pins the dressed gap AT zero rather than beyond it.
3. The dressed mode's dispersion and polarization: omega = c q and
   TENSOR structure must come OUT (the crisis's corners (i)-(iii)
   are waiting to re-kill).
4. The radiated coupling: the dressed mode must couple to sources

If (1)-(4) hold, the framework's deepest sentence becomes: gravity
is long-ranged because the constraint is exact, and gravitational
WAVES exist because gravity is long-ranged. If they fail, D2 (the
